Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data FundaMental ("we", "us") collects when you use the FundaMental app or website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. FundaMental is built and operated by Vikas AI Labs.

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to run your account and improve the app:

• Email address — to create and sign you into your account (via a passwordless sign-in link, or through Google Sign-In).
• Basic Google profile info — if you choose "Continue with Google," we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google. We never see or store your Google password.
• Profile preferences — the interests you pick, your daily reminder time, display name, and chosen avatar.
• Engagement data — which games you complete and articles you read, used only to calculate your learning streak.
• Usage & diagnostic data — general app usage analytics and crash reports, collected automatically via Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, to help us understand what's working and fix bugs.

We do not collect passwords, payment details, your location, contacts, camera, or microphone access — the app doesn't request any of these.

How we use it

• To create and maintain your account, and keep your preferences in sync across devices.
• To send you the daily learning reminder you opted into (a local notification on your device — no data leaves your phone for this).
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and fix crashes.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Your data is stored and processed using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Hosting) — Google acts as our infrastructure provider. Google's own privacy policy governs their handling of this data as our processor. We don't share your data with any other third party.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (in the app, under Profile → Delete Account, or by emailing us — see below), your profile data is permanently deleted. Some anonymized analytics and crash data may be retained in aggregate form, as it's not tied back to you individually once your account is gone.

Your choices

• Access or correct your data — everything we store about your preferences is visible and editable directly in the app's Profile screen.
• Delete your account — Profile → Delete Account in the app permanently removes your profile and account. See deleting your account for the full steps, including what to do if you no longer have the app installed.
• Notification permission — you can turn off notifications for FundaMental at any time in your device's system settings.

Children's privacy

FundaMental is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
